i sniff paint [Dec. 29th, 2005|02:41 pm]
so...they decided to paint the hall today... if only they waited one more day.
they started at 830 i think....there's been at least 2 coats.... reminds me of being stuck in a studio all day.

i had to go forage for my pizza...that was difficult. I had to jump from edge to edge, they painted those last night so they're dry, in order to get to the stairs....very difficult process.

going back to my pizza now. at least it doesn't taste like paint.

Pan steak, cooked up, seasoned randomly, placed on a bagel.... good stuff. with cranberry juice, nice snack.

Gastro-Intestinal lady things i have acid reflux. Going to have a barium swallow, a 2nd ultrasound, and a perscription now. swallow to make sure there's nothing physical (largly physical), ultrasound to make sure my spleen is still okay (she wanted a second opinion), and perscription to handle the acid reflux business. woo. Havn't gotten the meds yet. But the choking feeling isn't as frequent. I havn't been eating as much at one time anymore either. So I think that does truly help.

holidays will be...interesting. battle between mother and girlfriend. i've always hear about those, now they're beginning to showup. ah well. it was minor. over in a few hours, so no big deal. both of them being who they are status wise. each have their justifications. (so gonna get crap from this sometime ^_^ )

all finals in a 2 day period. Paper still not written. gotta do that.... Classes have been finalized for next semester: Ceramics II; Language, Mind, and Society (Lingiuistics seminar) ; Intro to computer science (learning java...finally) and band.... woo

State of Unrest cd alllllmooooosttttt finished. All that's left is a few measures of horn work, and gang vocals. All background vocals were finished thursday.

started looking at gamesworkshop stuff again. I think once school is done, i'm going to pick up terrain building again. Focus on that for a bit. In the meanwhile going to paint a few pieces to get my skill back up to par. only problem is the place i used to go for supplies no longer carries anything worth while anymore. My back up place moved.... gotta hunt that place down again. But i think it's way the hell outta the way now. we'll see.

meeting my mother, grandfather, uncle, and aunt tomorrow for lunch. they are going to see......the fish. god damn fish. everyone is going to see the friggen fish. no point i tells ya. they may be comming to see the apartment too.

thoughts of a lemming [Dec. 8th, 2005|06:25 pm]
my thoughts on lemmings one and two:

the puppy on fire made me laugh. the gum in the hair, i find to be kinda ironic... made me giggle too. no way would i have pulled off the dutch oven. i'd get karate chopped or something.

2: noreen and i are always doing things together...that doesn't surprise me. over all though, not as funny as lemming one.

i am [Oct. 23rd, 2005|11:32 pm]
[music |wmre- then silence]

the procrastinator

doing russian every few minutes. an excersize, a few minutes break. listening to WMRE also... eh. the people who are supposed to be on, are not. therefore, it's not that great. don't know why i keep listening.... and as i said that, something horrid came over the airwaves (internet stream)... so it's now off.

i need to go to a mystic and see what my future holds. So far, looking at Ohio State, UTenn, Emory, Duke, and a few other places for grad work. maybe even a GA school of some sort if necessary. Other than that, looking at fed gov't areas for work. NSA, FBI, and such. I might look into GBI (georgia buraeu of investigation) or something else like that. Hoping for a tech/language related job. Something that will let me keep training too. always a possibilty that Emory will hire me... Then i'll work here for 5 or so years, get training, take classes (employees get free classes), maybe do another major (for free)...get the exp that everyone wants you to have, and then try for the big jobs again. We'll see.

picked up quake 4 for those that know of such a beast. amazing game. on the doom3 engine, so it's gorgeous. sounds great too. short single player, which picks up where q2 left off. havn't tried multiplayer yet. should be good though....that killed my weekend pretty well.

lots of parties happened last night...most of which i avoided like the plague. fond wishes to those who deserve them, even though they won't know it.

looking for a bike. preferably something like a hybrid bike. it'll get lots of use on the road, but i'd like to go trail riding again. go down a few mountains like the days of old. if anyone knows of anything, lemmie know. i'll even do a mountain bike or a rockhopper. using those on the road would suck, but the added weight would just make me work harder and get used to it. trying not to spend more than 300. if you've got parts, that's good too. but again, not willing to do much more than 300 total. so 50-75 for a frame, etc.... only problem is i don't know what size i am.

decorated my room some more. added a bit of colour....

*edit* oh, and probably something along the lines of "the effect of military initiated technology on civilian society/lives" kind of grad work. from the 1940s on if i need a time period.

Fickle [Sep. 27th, 2005|10:49 pm]
Got to the clinic today. not very helpful overall. Got a referral however. Which is a step in the right direction. More thinking that what went on this summer was due to stress mainly. Heartburn hasn't happened in a while, which is nice. Spleen pain is usually only when hunched over for long periods of time. Beginning to molt a bit with the season change.

Skipped alot of classes. Going to suck catching back up.

Work is work. If you know you know, if not, you don't want to. More shit hitting the fan as always.

[mood |mirr]
[music |Random stuff]

Figure i'd update...

So i've moved back into clairmont (b301 for those in need) and am enjoying my self greatly. The roommates got in easily and the apartment is shaping up well. 2 roommates i've known, the other is new to us. He's an alright guy. We all get along, and that's what basicly matters. I have my reservations on certain matters involving everyone, but this is not the place for those things. Everyone's girlfriends have been over a decent amount already. It's only been a week for them. It's been about 2 weeks since i moved in. Mine is the only girlfriend who hasn't been over yet. ah well... Food will be an issue. As will cleaning. More so than i expected. Last year it was very simple and things didn't need to be brought up concerning these matters, but i think we're going to have to lay down some rules this go round. we shall see.

classes: It's going to be a long busy semester. Criminology; easy course so far i think. One 5-page paper at the end on crime in the media. A few tests, that's it. Final. Bah..easy stuff. Just have to read the "extra reader" crap. Prof is canadian, i think she's new too. A little too...energetic? for me... don't know what, but there's something I don't like about her. Russian; this will be interesting. It'll be difficult to tune my ear for the language. But I think it's doable. Not as easy as a romantic language, but easy enough. Just going to have to spend some time with the assignments is all. Tai Chi; i'm the only one in the adv course who has had tai chi experience...go figure. Great Powers; my only history. I feel so... skimpy... Buddy from work is in the class with me. It'll be alright. Midterm/Final. that's it. Read, go to class, take test, pass..... Theologies of the Grotesque; wow....i'm partially fucked. I signed up for this class as a religion course. I thought it would be able theology and such. Mutilations, saints relics, ya know, the darker side of religion. The more obscuere, etc... nope. Definitly not. It's a CPTL 400+/REL400+/RUS300+ course. Composition Literature/Religion/Russian....So it's a russian lit course. one 5-page paper, one 10-15page paper. That's it. So i think it counts as a writing requirement. The reading so far is pretty easy. I'm not too worried. Esp if i'm never actually tested on material. I'm going to stick with it even though it isn't anything I wanted it to be. I figure: I like russians, I like fucked up literature, this is about insanity, dark side of life, dregs of society....i'll manage.

So alot of reading this semester if i so choose. I'm going to focus mainly on the russian and the history i think. We'll see. No outside horn playing. The directors want more dedication and time than i'm willing to give. So no more sheet music for now. Band has moved to new place for practices. For now we want to finish the CD first, then go back to practicing. So I figure another month and a half of recording, then we're done. we'll see about that.

Thrown some decent parties so far. Nachoes and Booze night Jr, went off nicely. Not a full-fledged night, due to lack of planning and numbers. But we had a good 20 people show up...so not too bad. I drank until i couldn't feel anything. drinking games were involved. I also amazed eveyone with my knowledge of video games. G4TechTV had a "sex in videogame history" special going on, I was able to name every game before they showed it. Don't know what that says about me....

Spent alot on beer, food, and books already. First paycheck got blown real fast. That was filled with over time too. Next one will be moderate due to lots more over time and doubletime hours.

night all. class in the morning. And a friend may be stopping by to force me to go to the gym in the morning. It's amazing what we say when we're drunk.

Colonel Tarleton
You scored 51 Wisdom, 74 Tactics, 59 Guts, and 60 Ruthlessness!

Tarleton... well, what can I say for a man who kills the wounded on the
battlefield? Tarleton was a great tactician and cavalryman, and
although he wasn't quite as evil as his counterpart in "The Patriot",
Tarleton's morals were very definitely somewhat skewed. Now what does
that about you?

Tarleton arrived in America with General Cornwallis and was a
member of the patrol that captured General Charles Lee at Basking
Ridge, N.J. He served with William Howe at Brandywine, Germantown, and
Philadelphia. Tarleton went to Carolina as leader of a mixed force of
cavalry and infantry and distinguished himself at Charleston and in the
Carolina campaign before he was overwhelmed by Daniel Morgan at
Cowpens. After the battle of Guilford Courthouse, he retreated into
Virginia and was active in the Yorktown campaign. However, Tarleton is
best known for stabbing the bodies of dead and injured revolutionaries
to ensure that they wouldn't fight again.

The Suave Lover
40% partner focus, 57% aggressiveness, 45% adventurousness
Based on the results of this test, it is highly likely that:

You prefer your romance and love to be traditional rather than daring
or out-of-the-ordinary, you would rather pursue than be pursued and,
when it comes to physical love, you concentrate more on enjoying the
experience rather than worrying about your performance.

This places you in the Lover Style of: The Suave Lover.

The Suave Lover is a wonderful Lover Style, and is reminiscent
of some of the most classic lover figures of all time, such as Casanova
or Don Juan, or more recently James Bond (several of the "Bond girls"
fit this type, too). This shouldn't be confused with a "player" or
someone who is solely interested in physical love, but someone who is
looking for an incredibly elusive thing: a worthy partner. The Suave
Lover is a treasure to find, but can be incredibly difficult to hold on
to, once found.

In terms of physical love, the Suave Lover can sometimes be
surprisingly tender. Given the right setting, and the right lover, the
Suave Lover can be a delight in bed.

Best Compatibility can probably be found with: The Devoted Lover (most of all) or the Romantic Lover, or the Liberated Lover.

PURITY: 45% sex, 75% substance, 41% moral [51% total]
Well done! The higher your scores, the more "pure" you are. The lower, the more you've experienced.

This test was about done deeds, so your numbers will never climb. [It's
interesting to think they all started at 100%.] But will your purity
continue to fall? Will you OUTGROW or will you OUTDO your past experiences? It's up to you.

Advisory:

  • Don't date anyone if your moral purities differ by more than 30%.
  • Don't run a business with anyone if your substance purities differ by more than 40%.
  • Do be friends with someone who has less than 1/2 your sex purity. You'll enjoy their colorful company.

Note: as for the "TOTAL" purity value - that's a weighted combination
of your scores, indicating what a typical purity test might say about
you.

i less than three my job [Aug. 27th, 2005|06:35 pm]
i'm so fucking good at my job sometimes. and at such times, women usually throw themselves at me because of it. that...is the gratification of my work. not the "oh you saved my disseration" or "oh you fixed it"...no...it's the "you rock, take me" or other such phrases. or body language. usually it's in the body language, but still... they say "when do you work" or "you're awesome"...and i'm just like; "i know"

i woke up at 5am...at work by 7am... worked until 615pm. gonna be a massive paycheck. i'll hit 46-50 hours this week. overtime baby. overtime.

and i think one girl is gonna make me cupcakes or cookies because i helped her for an hour or more. she was the reason i didn't leave until 6 or so. makes me happy.

i'm such a sucker for baked goods.....i'm such the fucking man. geekFTW!!! even in the stupid ITD t-shirts this year (red, with a smiling mac on the front, boo )
